4 Things to Do in Anao, Tarlac




Anao, Tarlac is a 5th class municipality in Tarlac Province and is known for its aromatic Ylang-Ylang Trees.

Despite being the smallest municipality in Tarlac Province, Anao is being positioned as a top producer of export-grade Ylang-Ylang oil in the Philippines.

And according to our tour guide, Ylang-Ylang Oil is one of the ingredients used in perfume, Chanel 5.

If you want to experience farm tourism, visiting the Ylang-Ylang Capital of Tarlac is "A-Now or Never". 


What are the 4 Things to Do in Anao, Tarlac


1. Experience Ylang Ylang Picking in Anao, Tarlac

We went to the Ylang-Ylang farm early in the morning.

On the farm, we experience first-hand how to choose and harvest the right Ylang-Ylang flowers. 



The red spot in the flower means it's ready for harvest. 


2. Visit Ylang-Ylang Center in Anao, Tarlac

After our Ylang-Ylang picking experience, we went to Anao Ylang-Ylang Center to know what they do after they harvest the Ylang-Ylang Flowers.



In the center, we saw the machine that they are using to produced Ylang-Ylang Essential Oils. The tour guide said that the Ylang-Ylang flower will go first into a Boiler, then into a Condenser, and then into a Separator. 

The Ylang-Ylang Flower is extracted 3 times. The 1st extract will be used in making Perfumes. The 2nd extract will be used in making Spa Oils. And the 3rd extract will be used in making Soaps.


3. Taste the Pansit Anao of Kape Agape

If you love food, you should try Pansit Anao of Kape Agape. It is a Community Cafe near Ylang-Ylang Center.

Your Anao tour will not be completed if you will not taste the slightly sweet Malunggay noodles with nuts.


4. Buy Ylang-Ylang Products at Pasalubong Center in Anao, Tarlac
