6 Lessons I Learned in My Early 20s (2 of 6)

Fire First, Aim Later

Often in life, lots of our time is spent on planning and waiting for the perfect timing. Let’s make starting a business or profession as an example.

Nothing is wrong with planning a lot. Just don’t wait before it’s too late to execute. I observed that people including me put lots of time in perfecting their plans in life.

Soon they will be disappointed to know their plans failed because of unforeseen events. Worst of all, When they want to take action, It’s already late.
They didn’t even have a chance to pull the trigger. :(

What I Did?

Because I don’t want to regret anything,

I started a consulting firm that helps people save time, make better decisions and avoid tax penalties. I told myself that NOW is the best time to pull the trigger.

I ask myself, what’s the worst thing that can happen?

I’m single (Baka naman, haha). I don’t have a mortgage to pay. I don’t have kids to feed. And I have my family to back me up when I failed.

Why Start While You’re Still Young?

The benefits of starting young are:

1. You have more time.
2. You have more energy.
3. You have lesser responsibility.
4. And you have more room to make mistakes.

My plan is to start it when I’m 25 years old. But I executed it when I’m just 24 years old.

Did you know?

When I’m 24 years old, I don’t have connections, lots of money, and all the knowledge I need to know.

I don’t know all the tax laws and processes like Business Registrations in DTI, SEC, LGU, BIR, SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG.

I encounter lots of problems. But that doesn’t stop me from getting what I want. I study and solve them one by one when the problem arises.
I became resourceful and started with a service-based business.

There are times that you just need to ๐‰๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ƒ๐จ ๐ˆ๐ญ and stop overthinking.

It’s an amazing feeling when you thank your younger self for being brave in Firing First and Aiming Later.
